St. Joseph-Ogden, up 18-6 in the first half, crashed after the team was hit by a string of injuries and penalties midway into the game. The Redskins rallied back to beat the Spartans by one, 19-18.

SJO went on to qualify for the IHSA postseason and finish the season with a 6-4 record with Carr under head coach Dick Duval.
