Hess starts Spartan season with a pair of goals
ST. JOSEPH - Tyler Hess scored two goals in St. Joseph-Ogden’s home opener against Oakwood. Lucas Stevens assisted on the senior’s second-half go-ahead goal in the Spartans’ 2-1 victory. St. Joseph-Ogden travels to Urbana on Wednesday to take on the Illineks in their annual rivalry match.
Unity drops match against Newton
TOLONO - The Rockets dropped to 0-2 on the season after suffering a 7-0 home loss Monday. Henry Will led the Eagles with three goals and one assist. Evan Holder added two goals, while Cylas Dickerson rounded out the scoring with a goal of his own. Unity hit the road for Decatur to face St. Teresa late this afternoon.
