St. Joseph-Ogden fell to Monticello 153-188 in a nine-hole dual golf meet Wednesday at Monticello Golf Club. Garrett Loschen led the Spartans with a 43, finishing seventh individually.
MONTICELLO - St. Joseph-Ogden found itself chasing Monticello from the opening holes Wednesday, as the Sages swept the top spots on the individual leaderboard and went on to defeat the Spartans 153-188 at Monticello Golf Club.
Garrett Loschen led St. Joseph-Ogden with a nine-hole round of 43, finishing seventh individually. Tripp Palmer followed with a 47, while Noah Resendiz and Finn Miller each carded 49s.
Monticello placed all six of its golfers among the top six individual finishers, giving the Sages a strong advantage in the team scoring.
Tucker Buchanan led the field with a 35. Max Henrard and Kalem Hendrix each shot 39s to round out Monticello's top six.
The Spartans will return to competition Saturday at the Paris Invite before hosting Unity at Savoy Golf Course on Monday, Sept. 21, at 4 p.m.
