Mahomet-Seymour won the team championship with a 304, followed by Champaign Central at 308. Mahomet-Seymour's junior varsity squad finished third with a 319. Garrett Loschen led the Spartans with an 81, tying for 18th place individually.
RANTOUL - Against a field featuring the county's top golfers, Garrett Loschen paced St. Joseph-Ogden with an 81 and a tie for 18th place as the Spartans finished seventh Friday at the Champaign County High School Golf Tournament. The Spartans posted a team score of 354 in the annual tournament, which featured golfers from across Champaign County. Loschen's 81 put him in a four-way tie for 18th place in the individual standings. He was the top finisher for the Spartans.
ST. JOSEPH - Last week, St. Joseph-Ogden High School announced the third-quarter Honor Roll and High Honor Roll recipients. Over 270 students at the high school earned third-quarter Honor Roll recognition.
To make the honor roll at SJO, students must earn a grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Students whose GPA soared above 3.74 are recognized as High Honor Roll students.
