SJO volleyball nearly cruises past visiting St. Anne

St. Joseph-Ogden's Ava Seggebruch (left) and Reese Wheatley leap above the net attempting to block a kill by St. Anne's T'Ayla Crite-Jackson during game one of their non-conference game on Wednesday. The Spartans defeated the visiting Cardinals in two sets 25-7, 25-15, to win their home opener. Off to a 2-0 start, SJO defeated Maroa-Forsyth 2-1 on the road on Monday to kick off the 2023-24 season.

Spartan soccer team loses battle at STM

St. Joseph-Ogden defender Garrett Siems pushes the ball up the field in the second half. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Sabers on the road on Thursday. Siems and his SJO teammates, with a record of 8 wins, 3 losses and a tie, hit the field again for a non-conference contest at Georgetown-Ridgefarm on Saturday, September 24. Match time scheduled for 9a. Then on Monday, the team will host Judah Christian with the opening touch at 4:30pm. See more photos from this game.

SJO softball team picks up another win

St. Joseph-Ogden shortstop Shayne Immke lunges toward a ground ball during SJO's home softball game against Tri-Valley. The Spartans, thanks to a single run plated in the bottom of the third by Addison Frick, pulled out a 1-0 victory on Wednesday to improve their record to 3-1. The Spartans play at home next on April 28 hosting the Blue Devils of Villa Grove.
