IPC teams to play at Christie Clinic Shootout this Saturday

St. Joseph - St. Joseph-Ogden High School will host 13 teams this Saturday, January 7, for the 2023 installment of the Christie Clinic Shootout.

The competition starts at 9am with the first junior varsity contest of the day between Beecher and Bismarck-Henning-Rossville-Alvin in SJO's practice gym. The varsity contest between the two teams follows two hours later at 11am. The final varsity game will start at 6pm featuring Peoria Notre Dame against the Kays of Kankakee.

Normal University's Mason Funk and SJO's Tanner Jacob collide during the State Farm Classic Holiday Tournament Small School championship game last Friday. The two teams won't run into each other at this weekend's Christie Clinic Shootout. The Spartans claimed a narrow victory beating the Pioneers, 58-49. The Rockets will tipoff around 5pm against Normal U-High, who the Spartans beat in a heated contest on December 30 for the State Farm Holiday Classic title. St. Joseph-Ogden (11-1) closes out the IPC league bouts for the day against the currently 6-6 Nashville Hornets. All three teams will be home on the scoreboard.

Admission for spectators is $8 and $5 for students. Student IDs are required for the discount.
